I finally saw the music video that Bret and Jemaine are parodying in their "Prancing" pose below. Back in 1985, Mick Jagger and David Bowie made a music video together for the song, Dancing in the Street. This was a bit before my MTV-watching days, so when I saw the video yesterday, I just about fell out of my chair laughing.

These next images will help explain some of the bizarre poses in Under the Radar magazine (like Jemaine's nude body suit). I felt compelled to crop one of the images, but you can easily do a Google Image Search to see the entire thing yourself. Um....yeah.

Paste Magazine
The April issue of Paste Magazine recently ran a feature of Jemaine and Bret titled, "Flight of the Conchords Takes Off." Reading the short Q&A in this article made me giggle. Hint: Body parts. How old am I again? LOL

Under the Radar Magazine
Stay posted for Flight of the Conchords' much-anticipated Under the Radar magazine feature. Some lucky ladies have already been able to snag their own copy. My local Barnes & Noble says that it will be available beginning April 1st.
Ok, are you sitting down? Word is that Flight of the Conchords did a photoshoot of famous rock duos. How clever! There's one of Bret posing as Yoko and Jemaine posing in a nude - yes, nude - body suit. Then there are other poses to include Mick & Bowie, Kid 'n Play, Hall & Oates, Petshop Boys and Captain & Tenille. Psst...there's also a rumor that Bret & Jemaine are hugging in one of the photos.

These are Tears of Joy
Why? For starters, it's Good Friday. Well, for me anyway. If you live in the future, like our very own Ashley, have a Happy Easter Saturday!
Ashley traveled back in time to send us an adorable homemade video of herself lip synching to I'm Not Crying. Since the parody reminded me of cute, egg-people versions of Bret & Jemaine, I figured it would fit egg-cellently *har* in today's post.
It looked like heaps of fun. Good job, Ashley.
p.s. That's too funny how Jemaine posted this same video in his Myspace blog today. Ashley sure made the rounds yesterday. He hasn't posted a blog in ages, so Ashley, you broke the dry spell. Way to go!

New Award for FotC
Flight of the Conchords, the show, won the International Award at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards ceremony yesterday in Park Lane, London. According the their site, it beat out television powerhouse shows like Heroes and Ugly Betty.
Congrats to Bret & Jemaine!
Here's a quote from the RTS website: "...warm, fabulous, and one of the most surprising, fresh and original TV comedies to arrive in a long time."

Jennifer Coolidge Joins Gentlemen Broncos Cast
Jennifer Coolidge recently signed on to play the mother of the teen whose novel is stolen by Ronald Chevalier (Jemaine Clement's character). Source: Movieweb.com. The site lists the movie as currently in production. Look for the Gentlemen Broncos movie release in 2009.

This seemed like a good day to upload the bulk of my site updates. As you can see, the home page got a mini-facelift.

Impersonators that set up fake profiles and conduct business as if they were Bret & Jemaine themselves should be avoided at all costs.
Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of well-run fan profiles on Myspace too.The difference is that they are up-front about being a fan site and don't run around duping fans into believing they're Jemaine and Bret.
It worries me to think of all the other fans out there who may have interacted with an impersonator and have been given a false impression of the Conchords. Bret and Jemaine have gone above and beyond to sustain positive contact with their fans by continuing to manage their Myspace profile themselves.
We have recently launched a campaign against a specific, questionable Myspace profile. If you have an account, please visit this profile and click the "Report Abuse" link that appears below it. Whoever created it is up to no good and must be stopped. Thank you.

Things have been busy in real space, so new posts have been put on hold. I've got some fan art, a new Sasquatch countdown clock, videos, images and a higher-res FotC album cover that all need posting. No worries - they'll make it onto the site eventually. :-)
I simply had to take a few minutes to post this latest Maxim video. Opening my email tonight was particularly rewarding. I love Google alerts with actual, fun updates. Take a behind-the-scenes look at FotC's most recent photo shoot for Maxim Magazine. Yowza!
